Generally I would ask:
If you would very much like a weekend booking, please ask me before Saturday morning! If I have had no bookings in advance, I like to spend my weekends away from home. I like to keep fit and active and I will have made personal plans for the weekend to go hiking, walking, cycling (Yes, that's correct, my stamina is very good and my legs can crush walnuts!) If I have not had a firm booking before the Friday your unlikely to get me on the phone that weekend and will be disapointed.
Similarly, if you would like an evening booking, please ask me either the day before or at the very latest, the morning of the day. I will make personal plans for my evenings if I have no bookings in my diary and rarely, if ever, change these plans last minute.
I am a very busy person, I have a diary stuffed full of things I have to do, places I have to be and people I have to meet. If I have had no asks for bookings for a certain day, I will be happily engaged in something else, so please, ask early if you wish to see me! I love the time I have with you but my life involves planning - I need to know what I am doing from one day to the next to successfully offer you a booking! I do not want to miss you so all I ask is you think ahead if possible.
If you catch me early enough in the morning on a weekday, I might be able to get you in that afternoon, it is always worth an ask.
I have been known to take bookings from regulars that have driven by on the off chance and are parked up around the corner chancing their luck that I am free. In that instance, you have to take me as you find me. I myself will be bathed and ready for action, I always am! But my home might need some tlc! Dishes in the sink, the hoover not used, dust gathering slightly - the frantic search to find an outfit to wear is pointless - your going to catch me in my dressing gown - if you do not mind all that, your welcome to try and catch me last minute! Please do call and ask but please don't get irritated when I say I can not do it as I have made other plans or have another booking for that time. Thank you. x
